Over the years the modern blog has evolved from the online diary, where people would keep a running account of their personal lives, to utilizing formats that cater to a more corporate structure. Most such writers called themselves diarists, journalists, or journalers. While this was the norm in the early years, blogging has become an extremely productive tool for businesses as well as individuals to gather and organize what smart people figure out daily.
"The first thing you need to decide when you build your blog is what you want to accomplish with it, and what it can do if successful."
These days, there are numerous resources available by way of blogging tools, and most of them are free. Here are just a few that are available right here on blogger.com.

Blogging tools are important not only to a blog's visual appearance but to user accessibility as well. I have only discussed some of the tools that blogger.com has to offer, but the number of online resources and plug-ins that are available are endless.

Hi Tony, It's funny how we can interpret the same words so differently. I chose to compare three different blog hosts and you chose to compare three different "tools" within your chosen blog. Thanks for your review of these tools. I haven't used Twitter yet so I'm wondering if you can explain what a static twitter badge is and why I would want one. By the way, I like the personalized look of your header. Lisa
ReplyDeleteBy definition (http://tweeternet.com/), Twitter is a social networking and microblogging service that allows you answer the question, "What are you doing?" by sending short text messages 140 characters in length, called "tweets", to your friends, or "followers."
ReplyDeleteAs Twitter become a more powerful communication method within corporate circles, a tool like the Blogger Static Twitter Badge Generator becomes essential.
If a visitor or a client has the ability to access your Twitter with just a click of a button on the page and leave a message, feedback is faster to collect, especially on a blog page.
Hi Tony,
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine me keeping it to 140 characters or less in length? :-)
I read that Twitter is like the text messaging of the internet. I understand that idea; but I still write long letters using correct English when I send messages to my children and anyone else. I do like the LOL and LMAO acronyms though.
I found a link, below, that describes how to install the Blogger Static Twitter Badge Generator gadget in Blogger.
